History
OptionsNet was founded in 2000 by 3 University of Patras postgraduate Compruter Engineers.
At 2001, the company was selected as the main IT consultant for the Holy Metropolis of Aigion, Western Greece.
During 2003, the Bio-Informatics Institute of Greece (INBIT) assigned OptionsNet with the overall design and implementation of the integrated Bio-Informatics Information System, PRAXIS. A continuous cooperation was established with the carrier since then. As a result an important number of installations in Greece have been undertaken. Currently, the MIS has been integrated in a web-based environment and is being supported in a regular basis.
The same year, partnership MOU’s are set with major Athens stock-market IT SA’s. Since then, the company acts as an outsourcing partner to medium and large scale Greek IT Project’s.
At 2004, OptionsNert signs a contract with the Ministry of Environment and Public Works, Department D12, for the upgrade and support of the integrated expropriation Information System. The cooperation continues up to now.
Since 2006, our company has undertaken a number of successful individual IT Projects for significant Public Bodies and NPO’s such as the Technical & Commercial Chamber of Greece - Department of Corfu -, the Prefecture of Achaia, the University of Partas, the Business Innovation Centre of Western Greece, etc.
Within 2007, our company was selected to participate as a partner to a project financed by the Greek Research & Development General Secretariat. The partnership includes research institutes, universities and R&D companies.
The continuous growth of the company in 2008 is guaranteed, as we have already undertaken major Individual Project’s and contracts from carriers such as the Greek Open University, the Ministry of Environment and Public Works and the Business Innovation Centre of Western Greece.
